• <H4> Hilltrust Top Foundation (HTF) formerly known as hilltop foundation is founded as a not for profit, non governmental organization which started as a training center for out of school children in the year 2001. It later got registered with the Kwara state government under the ministry of youth and social development and later with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Due to its commitment to community development through community participation and voice, it has evolved to providing access to basic health and education particularly to the vulnerable group through poverty reduction, capacity building, control of communicable diseases and promotion of family wellbeing.Hilltrust Top Foundation (HTF) started as an organization that promotes closing up of the access gaps of the vulnerable group but because of its commitment to bottom up community based programming through listening and dialogue with the community, it has evolved to a full scale force in community development and health sector.
• <H4> Hilltrust top foundation has capacity for Advocacy, Behavioral change campaign, promotion of girl child education, enrolment drive, retention and completion of basic education, child centered learning, curriculum review, adult literacy and numeracy, youth empowerment and monitoring & mentoring. In the health sector, hilltrust top foundation is empowered for intervention in Malaria prevention and control, Hiv/Aids, water and sanitation, community enlightment and first aid, Reproductive health and Family Planning activities. For development workers to facilitate sustainable development by using people's personal strengths, there is need for a shift in their mindset, especially where their approach is concerned and how they integrate the views of the communities. At the end of the day, communities must be able to integrate bottom-up development programs into their daily routine. Based on this, Hilltrust Top Foundation believes that any intervention program will be sustainable after external aid and support has stopped if such interventions are anchored on the community hence she engages the communities meaningfully to bring about the needed acceptance for positive change that will impact their communities for good in any intervention program she is involved. She has been reviewing the United Nations Millenium Development Goals (MDG) with several communities and institutions such that the goals are achievable in communities where she works, this includes maternal, infant and child mortality reduction, reduction in communicable disease, improved nutrition, education for all and poverty reduction.MILLENIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS The eight millennium development goals are as follows: 1. Goal 1: Eradicate extreme poverty and gunger. 2. Goal 2: Achieve Universal Primary education by all. 3. Promote Gender equality and empower women 4. Reduce child mortality by 2/3 the rate of 1990 by 2015. 5. Improve maternal mortality by 3/4 the rate of 1990 by 2015 6. Combat Hiv/Aids, Malaria and other diseases by halting their spread and incidence. 7. Ensure environmental sustainability 8. Develop a global partnership for development.HILLTRUST TOP FOUNDATION OBJECTIVE The objectives of Hilltrust top foundation are; 1. To serve as a veritable platform for promoting best practices in creative human empowerment and sustainable development. 2. To be in the vanguard of promoting the full realisation of man's potentials through wholesome education and health, creative works, capacity building and productive skill acquisition. 3. To organise and project academic programmes that can help harness potentials of all for creativity and lofty heights. 4. To instil discipline, hard work, integrity and purposeful living in all. 5. To ensure acquisition of the appropriate levels of literacy, numeracy, communicative, ethical, moral, and civil values for lifelong learning.NETWORKING In order to share experiences and learn from colleagues across the country, we network with the following organizations: 1.
